Good Morning Adventurer, I hope that everyone has had a pretty solid weekend and at least a decent start to the week. Mine had a bit of a rough start, but it’s slowly getting better. Now, normally I’d have an update about what I am doing, however, due to some unforeseen events this past weekend I was unable to focus on writing. It had placed me in quite the funk and really put me out of it. So what I can do is update this timeline of mine that I had so ambitiously set for myself after returning home from my vacation earlier this summer.
So here were the original plans that I had set for myself before I got really busy this summer:
- June — Finish Project: Dancing Knight with at least one complete rewrite.
- July — Edit & Revisions & Beta Readers; Begin Self-Promotion & Ads; Schedule Release Date
- August — Publish & Release On Selected Markets (Amazon, Kindle, Barnes & Noble, etc.)
Jeez, I was really ambitious and I honestly did not expect this summer to get as busy as it did. Here we are though and in a dire need to update this project. I definitely need to give myself more time to complete writing Project: Dancing Night. That means I need to push everything else back(plus figure out how to do the Beta reader thing in general). So I think the best thing I can do for myself is easily provide myself more time.
- September–November: Complete Project: Dancing Night. Use this time to finish most recent draft, revisions, edits.
- October–December: Marketing, Branding, and Readers. Essentially, around October is when I should begin marketing the book. It doesn’t necessarily need to be done, but rather it just needs to get out there. So that’s when I SHOULD get to pushing that part of this plan.
- December–January: It should be around this time of the year that I really release the book. Despite all the setbacks this year, I still want to complete this goal of publish a book by the end of this year. Though I would be ok with releasing it by the start of next year. Either way, I want to still complete this ambitious goal of mine.
