7/14/2026 – Campgrounds and Writing

Good Morning Adventurer’s and what a beautiful morning it is. Alibet, I’ll admit that it is a really hot and humid one as well. This week there won’t be a really long post due to the fact that I am at a summer camp this week. I’m a cabin leader this week for a group of young men, getting the chance to serve and lead them once again. However, this does make it hard to just slip away and write. I’m kinda regretting not writing up something this past weekend and just scheduling it to be posted for today. Hindsight is 20/20 they say though.  Anyways, let me just take a few minutes to share a simple photo that I took of the night sky the other day and talk about the “Passions.”

See, really nice pictures of the night sky. I wish there wasn’t so much night polution, but alas, what can you do about that(find a much darker area).

Anyways, lets talk about the “Passions” and what they are. To put it simply, they are “gods” but not necessarily the “Big G god” of the setting for Project: Dancing Night. There is a creator and He does have a name(that I haven’t thought up of yet, but that isn’t important right now), but the “Passions” are servants that he has made to act as his agents and servents in the world that he has made. That’s a very simplified version of what the passions are, but if I were to compare it to any realy pantheon(structure wise), you could probably look at it like the norse patheon. The Creator is like Odin(but much kinder), and the passions are the rest of the norse patheon, except they don’t have nearly as big of a role in ruling the world like in norse mythology.

The other thing that makes the passions different from the norse gods, or any other pantheon of gods, is that the passions are based on emotions/feelings and that is how they influence the world. These being allow these emotions to flow and breath in the world, allowing people to make their choice on how they want to live and take in the world. Without them, the people of the world would be ruled by their most dominant emotion.

So without the passions, the would would quickly devolve into classes and clans of emotions. Eventually leading to war, death, and destruction of the world.

Ok, I want to say more but the day is already kicking off and I am running out of time to write. So I am going to stop now and add more later. So take care in this heat, but don’t let that stop you from seaking out adventure.
