5/5/2026 – Tired and Sore

Good Morning Adventurers,

I’m going to get a bit real here, this past week has been really tough for me. Body has been tired and pretty dang sore, and it doesn’t help that I’ve slightly re-injured myself. So I’m taking it one day at a time right now, but today’s post is not going to be a long one. So here’s the one thing that I’ll be talking about today:

  • Resting & Commissioning Work

Resting & Commissioning Work

So I’ll admit it, as I said earlier, this past week has been pretty tough. Balancing work, rugby, and writing has been pretty tough, especially when work has been tossing on item after item after item. There’s a ton of things to do and the list never seems to end. It doesn’t help that the last two weekend my rugby games have been away games, and both were more than two hours away. Taking work off in order to go isn’t normally such a big deal for me, but it does become taxing when I haven’t been able to sleep in my own bed before a game.

Has that affected my writing? It sure has, like I’ve had the chapter that I was working on for Project: Dancing Night right in front of me and I just stared at the paper. My mind was blank and nothing was coming to me at all. That’s what happens to me when I’m stressed and tired though. So this week, I’m planning on taking a bit of a rest and just letting myself rest and recover. However, I do want to let everyone know that I do have a few things planned that are taking place as of right now.

  • Project: Dancing Knight – Book Cover
    • I have commissioned someone for a book cover and I’ve just received. I am really looking forward to revealing it as soon as I have the title locked down. Though, I’m genuinely not sure on what the title should be as of right now, but it’ll come to me(hopefully) soon.
  • Character Art – Zaya
    • I have commissioned some more art for this character. Plus, I should be receiving an update soon on some previously commissioned artwork from about two months ago. Don’t worry though, Grim should be in one of those commissioned pieces, so it’s not like I am forgetting about him. I plan on have some more art commissioned of him later on in the summer, but right now I’ve completely emptied my budget for commissioned art.
  • Progress Update
    • As of right now, I’d say that I am about 33% of the way through the story for Project: Dancing Night. Life caught up with me and it has been hard trying to write while balancing the rest of my life. However, I am going to try and put put in some more effort this week. I’ve caught up with work, and I am pretty confident with where I am at in outlining the story. So once I get into the flow of writing again, I’ll begin knocking out the chapters.

Ok, I’ll stop there for now. Otherwise, I’ll ramble and this will become far longer than I intend to make it as of right now. So until next time, Adventurers. Have a blessed day and keep on seeking out adventures in everything that you do.
