Good Morning Adventurers and those who stumble upon my ramblings. I can’t remember if I had mentioned it in my last post, and I am to lazy to go and check, but I now have my own facebook page. What exactly will be going on that page hasn’t been figured out yet, but I at least have a start. Which means I will eventually place a link here so that It can be accessed from this site.
However, that leads me to my next problem—social media. I am genuinely unsure of what I am to upload once I have caught up on my writings. Like, I am not sure if I just need to take pictures of myself or if I need to follow trends of other content creators. In other words, I am unsure of myself and how to proceed with those pages. I should really take the time to write down my goals with these pages and really hone in on their purpose and focus.
So there’s that and my next conundrum is about the characters that I am working on for this fantasy/romance(not romantasy) novella. As I was trying not to have the lead Female MC fall into the stereotypical archer-warrior archetypes, I forgot what I based her culture on—the mongol empire. Now I need to do some research and learn about other nomadic, steppe riding people, so that I can smash the cultures together. Creating a mixture of nomadic warlords who use light archer cavalry but also have a need for foot soldiers/ground troops. At least that is the basis of how I am working her peoples culture. So more reading for me to do as I look for history books to help in this research.
Finally, I have been updated on that “Manuscript Writing Challenge” that I entered back in december. Sadly, I did not win, but I am ok with that. I know that there were three rounds of review from the judges in that contest. So, I’m hoping that my submission had made it past the first round at least. They had announced the winners last wednesday and said it would be about a week before the feedback would be available. So, hopefully, I will have that to write about in my next post. Until then, have a blessed day and continue seeking out adventure in everything that you do.
