A.G. Flowers

Welp, the holidays are done and over with. After all of the family events, parties, and get togethers, it is nice to get back to our regularly scheduled programming. Have I been completely lazy on getting those new habits developed, yes and no. I haven’t realistically been able to write, haven’t had the time to sit down and clock in. However, I have been able to start working on the social media part of this whole gig. Created three posts for the instagram account and posted them.

I won’t deny that despite the lack of followers, I was still scared to post those parts of my work. Who knows who will see those items and what they will say about them. Yet, the chance of something positive is still there as well and that is also exciting to think about. Either way, what I do recognize is that I am need to create something new that isn’t from reddit or already posted to this site. Something new that can be looked forward to. That and figuring out a posting schedule and what to create as I post things to the account.

As of right now, I am currently working on a poem that is intended to go at the beginning of a book. I’ll post more about it when I am finished workshopping it. I’ve genuinely have had a ton of fun trying to balance out the syllables and getting a rhyme scheme going. I’m not very good with poems to begin with and generally just write free verse whenever I feel like writing one. So this challenge has been a great experience for me.

So as of right now, I have spent about seven days working on this poem having written four and a half stanzas out of a seven stanza poem. I’ll end this post here as I get back to working on that poem as well as formulating the story that this poem will be attached to. Have a blessed day, to whomever has read this post to the end.
