My Doppelganger

My jeep slows to a stop as I pull up outside of the school. Wiping my face of sweat, I gingerly grab my satchel and lunch box. And do everything to avoid touching the smiling, bone protruding, malnourished doppelganger crouched between the passenger seat and glove box. He smiled, oh he smiled at me, into me and my body screamed run, run, run.
Tempest

The weather was dreary that Wednesday morning. Overcast clouds that trickled out water droplets the size of marbles. Their splatter making the drive to school all that much harder. Well, for the bus driver anyways, I only noticed the rain because of my forehead being placed against the cool surface of the window. The bus was crowded, loud like any other day.
